Natura ut Exo

This season is called Natura ut Exo - Nature as a backdrop - a throwaway comment a friend used to describe how she imagines my knitwear being lived in and worn, "with nature as a backdrop".

This resonated with me deeply, as in every piece of knitwear I create, the colour, shape and texture are inspired by sacred nature. Small often unnoticed things as the natural world is just doing its' thing and flourishing, as we rush by, fill me with wonder.

The colour chart for this Winter collection is informed by nature; with colours ranging from echinacea pink and damson to turmeric and graphite. This rich array of colours reveals textures and variations in the beauty of the knit. No expense is spared in the production process. Time-consuming handcrafting techniques are chosen for the supremely soft and high-quality cashmere knit they yield. Simply put, every Ros Duke piece is the best possible thing I can put out into the world!
